Shen Nong Scholarship and Research Fund

The Shen Nong Scholarship and Research Fund has been established by the Wellspring Foundation to encourage and support the scholarship and research of students of Traditional Chinese Medicine at recognized colleges and universities across Canada and, in particular, at Kwantlen Polytechnic University at its sites in the Lower Mainland of Vancouver, British Columbia. The Fund is also intended to enable students, scholars and practitioners of Traditional Chinese Medicine to contribute to the community through scholarship and research.

Professionals have a responsibility to enable the development of the next generations of  students in their fields and to contribute to the ongoing development of research informed knowledge. The singular purpose of the Shen Nong Scholarship and Research Fund is to advance scholarship and the practice of research conducted by students, scholars and practitioners of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Canada. The Fund does so through the support of activities that are consistent with the ethical standards and philosophy of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

The initial priority of the Shen Nong Scholarship and Research Fund is to support the studies of worthy applicants who are presently engaged in the study of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Canada. The Wellspring Foundation has allocated an amount of $30,000 for fiscal year 2020 to the Fund.
