Their mission is

to promote education and to stimulate innovation in sustainable environmental and green technologies

Current priorities are
  • addressing educational needs relating to the adoption of green technologies employing a community development model
  • publishing an online, free access forum for information, dialogue and critical thinking about environmental issues with a focus on solutions
  • developing AI based environmental assessment software that enables organizations and communities to assess the impact of adopting various green technology strategies

Arden Henley, Ed.D.

Educator, visionary and social architect, Arden Henley is the former Vice President and Principal of City University in Canada. Arden’s career accomplishments include the founding of Southtown Youth Services, the development of two ground breaking treatment centres for children, youth and families at Peace Arch Community Services Society and the establishment of CityU’s innovative Counselling program. Arden has consulted widely with government and community agencies. He holds a BA from McMaster University, MA (Psych.) from Duquesne University and Doctorate in Education from SFU.

Mary Charleson MBA

Mary Charleson is a Marketing Speaker, Educator, and Strategist. She is the author of fiveminutemarketing.com Blog and weekly newsletter, featuring marketing tips for the time starved entrepreneur. Mary has two books: “Word of Mouth Mouse & Mobile” (2013) and “Five-Minute Marketing” (2010). She is a member of the Canadian Association of Professional Speakers and the Global Speakers Federation. Mary delivers keynotes and presentations for private companies, associations, and conferences

Gerry Zipursky, MSW

Community leader, social innovator and accomplished fund raiser, Gerry Zipursky is the former founding Executive Director of South Vancouver Neighbourhood House; over a period of 22 years, the Executive Director of Vancouver’s Jewish Community Centre and the Director of Business Operations at City University in Canada. More recently, Gerry founded and developed Gibson’s Public Market and Marine Education Centre. Gerry has overseen a wide variety of large projects including, major construction, international events, as well as video and film productions. Gerry is a committed community member with extensive board and committee involvement with a variety of municipal, national and international organizations.

Brock Johnson LLB

Brock Johnston is a commercial lawyer and partner at Clark Wilson LLP. With over 30 years of experience practicing law, Brock anticipates issues, identifies opportunities and develops effective solutions that support his clients’ objectives.  These are skills which Brock hopes to bring to bear on behalf of GTEC. Brock has been “Expert-Ranked” in Infrastructure and Property Leasing and is “Best Lawyers Ranked” for Commercial Real Estate.
